U17’s and U15’s who reached their respective finals. Thanks go to all
the county team captains for their support this season. 4.
County
Closed Mike Phillips talked about the county closed and the fact it ran
successfully at 5.
League Reports Men’s. Chris Markham (CM) confirmed 85 teams had
signed up to play in the mens leagues for the 2009/10 season seven more than
last year. CM presented trophies to all the winning teams in the leagues they
were: 5E Corals 8, 5W Horsham
2, 4E Weald 2, 4W Middleton 3, 3E Lewes 1, 3W Midhurst 1, 2E Copthorne 2, 2W
Corals 3, Division 1 Corals 2 and the Premier Corals 1 Women’s:
Fiona Western confirmed that the women’s leagues
were now down to two divisions and had concerns for the long term
sustainability of them. FW presented trophies to the league winners: Division 3 Knockout cup winners: Crowborough 1 Plate winners: Dunnings Mill 1 Junior league report. Mick confirmed there
were eleven clubs and 22 teams in the leagues this season and there will be
ten extra teams in 2009/10. MS presented trophies to the winners and runners
up they were as follows: Division 5 winners Copthorne 4 runners up
Corals 3 Division 4 winners Bluecoats runners up
Cooden Division 3 winners Littlehampton 1 runners
up Copthorne 2 Division 2 winners Division 1 winners 6.
Hon. Treasurer’s report Simon Tunley (ST) distributed reports for 2008-2009,
Finances very solid and in good shape and came within
budget. The accounts for 08/09 were signed off as accepted and agreed. PM
thanked JP for his stewardship and hoped that we would find a successor for
him ASAP. 7.
Election of Management Committee PM stated we were
always looking for new members on the committee and he is keen to find a
replacement for Treasurer John Parr ASAP. However there were no changes to
the present committee for 09/10. Thanks must go to Tim Vail and Mike
Phillips, who are standing down, for their valued support with the juniors,
especially Tim who has been doing the boys squads for a number of years with
great success. It is hoped to find successors for both of them ASAP. 8.
Rule
Changes/Future of using PAR 11 Scoring All rule changes agreed
by those present. See appendix for more information on pro ruling and match
meals. PAR 11 scoring was
discussed as an option in the leagues for 2010/11. Feelings were anti the
change and clubs were happy to stay as we were. Thoughts were to perhaps
trial it in the premier league where to be fair those representing the county
are more likely to play and need to experience the new system if representing
the county in matches the future. 9.
Change
of Association Name All agreed with the
proposal that the Sussex SRA name should change in line with England Squash
and Racketball. The new name should be 10.

web. Mike Tonge feedback on key issues which are listed in the appendix. He
stated a friendly racketball league would be created which would include
Dunnings Mill, Crowborough, Corals, Lewes and Meeting closed at
8.30pm . |

ratified at the AGM on 16th July 2009.

11.8 Clubs playing in the Premier League must
mark on their ranking list any players who are considered ‘professional’
players – this will loosely be defined as players who have accrued PSA points
and a ranking in the top 250, or those ranked in the top 50 in

6.15 It is expected that all HOME clubs will provide food after the match. It is also expected that players from the opposition side will stay for the food provided. If the home side is unable to provide food, or members of the away side are not going to stay for food, this must be communicated to the opposing side with as much notice as possible.
